How to Fix "No Service" & "Searching" Problems on Jailbroken iPhone 3Gs iOS 6.1 Baseband 06.15.00

(Windows)
Note: I am an amateur at this, but this is what I did to get my iPhone 3Gs jailbroken and unlocked running on iOS 6.1 BB 06.15.00! However, I already have my iPhone 3Gs jailbroken beforehand. I just had a problem with unlocking it, so I do not know how this will work out for iPhone 3Gs' not already jailbroken beforehand!
IT IS ADVISED TO READ EVERYTHING FIRST BEFORE CONTINUING TO USE THIS TUTORIAL! BE ADVISED! I am not responsible for anything that happens to the iPhone for following this tutorial. Please do this at your own risk. My laptop is windows 7. I do not know how it will work on apple, linux, etc. Any links I use will be listed under the corresponding number. Also, each numbered step will include notes along side it going into details about what I did and etc. Let's get started!

1. Download latest reds0w program
• I used redsn0w 0.9.15B3 (windows)
http://www.unlockboot.com/p/jailbreak-unlock-ios-downloads.html

2. Download the official iOS 6.0 file for iPhone 3Gs
•  Use iOS 6.1 file if you want, but I used iOS 6.0
• Here's the reason why I did that: I had already jailbroke my iPhone 3Gs but had a problem here for unlock so I randomly used an iOS 6.0 file instead of 6.1 so if using 6.0 doesn't work then use 6.1. However, either file should work just fine.

3. Open redsn0w & run as administrator

4. Go to "Extras" and then press on "Select IPSW" and select the iOS 6.0 or 6.1 file.

5. Determine whether or not your bootrom is old or new.
• Many different tutorials and info about how to determine; just google it
• Mines was an old bootrom

I do not know whether or not a new bootrom will affect this tutorial or not

6. Press back to go back to the screen of "Jailbreak and Extra" (the beginning of redsn0w when you open the application)

NOTE: For step 7, trying to install cydia & ipad baseband together may or may not encounter something of the following: "Allocate 233, sorry, cydia has to close." I was one of those that encountered this problem. To solve this, this is what I did INSTEAD of trying to install both:

7. Press "Jailbreak" and UNCHECK "Install Cydia."

8. Check the box for "Install iPad Baseband" and press okay when prompted to continue or not
• This should not affect your iPhone 3Gs if it is already on BB 06.15.00! Which it should be or this tutorial may not work for you.

9. Follow the instructions for redsn0w on DFU mode and how to install the baseband. Let redsn0w and your iPhone do its thing.
• For some reason my redsn0w would crash if I minimized the screen, so I had to leave it open during this process!!
Also, after redsn0w screen says "DONE!" DO NOT CLOSE THE APPLICATION! Leave it there!!!

10. After it's done, the iPhone should be on and running again like a normal iPhone. Cydia may or may not be there but don't worry about it and ignore it.

11. Go back to the redsn0w screen and press back till you get back to the original screen of when you opened redsn0w with "Jailbreak" and "Extra" as your options.
If you did exit redsn0w, open the application and run as administrator again and select the same ipsw that you chose earlier and then continue on

12. From that screen, press on "Jailbreak" and this time, ONLY install Cydia! So check (if it hasn't already) "Install Cydia" and uncheck everything else!

13. At this point let redsn0w and your iPhone do its thing. Just follow the instructions on redsn0w for DFU mode etc.
• You may now quit/exit redsn0w once it is DONE!

14. Once it has rebooted and is up, the Cydia app should be there. Open it up and install all the packages and upgrades it has and reboot the phone

15. After rebooting, install ultrasn0w. Add the repo for ultrasn0w if it isn't there already by search:
http://www.repo666.ultrasn0w.com
• If the repo is already there just install ultrasn0w.
• ultrasn0w 1.2.8

•  google how to add a repo if you don't know how to do so already

16. Once installed and done, reboot the phone & make sure the sim card isn't in the phone!

17. Once rebooted insert sim card and it should be done! Try a couple times inserting the sim card and removing it if it doesn't work at first!
